A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and moved to Ashburn, Georgia, in 1970. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Don, for 39 years. We have one daughter and five beautiful grandchildren, 3 girls and 2 boys. We also had one son who is now deceased.

I am an award-winning artist who most recently won first place in Coatings by Sandberg’s 2009 international “Dichoric by Design Contest.” I have been doing stained glass since 1992. I took stained glass classes for three years, then taught at the same store for three years until I opened my own shop twelve years ago. In those twelve years my husband, owner of D M Holley Metal Buildings, has had to expand my building three times!

We offer many classes to choose from! Starting with stained glass on Tuesdays to beginning and advanced fusing, fused sinks, sand casting and pot/grid drip classes, all of which I teach. The fused micro-mosaic and etching iridized fused classes are taught by Charleen Romine. Lorri Hassett teaches the bead lampworking. Paulette Dale teaches beginning and advanced etching. Dr. Tison teaches the wire-wrapping jewelry class. The beginning and advanced blown glass classes are taught by Mali Harrell, Tadashi Torii, and me.

I have the largest retail glass store in South Georgia, located on I-75. I sell glass supplies and equipment for all classes that we offer. I also have an Ebay store under ROMAINE’S where I offer the lowest prices!

Another new item we offer is our “Bottoms Up” Keepsakes which are made from beverage bottles and other mementos from your memorable celebrations such as wedding receptions, graduations and those special birthdays.

I sell finished stained, fused and blown glass items here at my shop. I also do commission work starting at $100.00 a square foot.
